A Busy Winter

It’s hard to believe April (and spring) is already here! Where did the first three months of the year go? If we had to use one word to sum up Broadland Literary’s winter, it would be busy! But 2016 has been an enjoyable year so far and an exciting one, and we’re looking forward to what the next nine months might bring!

Due to the fact we’ve been so busy this year with our existing authors’ work, we’ve taken the very difficult decision to extend our submissions break until the summer. This isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly, as we love reading the work of new authors and offering as much help and feedback as we can, but our priority has to be our current authors, and our aim at the moment is to help those authors achieve their writing and publishing goals before we begin to expand our author list. We hope to have good news to share soon as far as our authors are concerned, but we’re pleased to report that things are definitely moving in the right direction!

For those writers looking for a challenge this month, or for a fun activity to take part in, don’t forget that Camp NaNoWriMo begins today! This month-long social writing event is a great opportunity to make new friends, find beta readers or critique partners, and of course to write as many words as possible! You can find out more at Camp NaNoWriMo. We’d like to wish all those writers taking part in this event good luck, and we hope you have fun at camp!
